USING MACINTOSH COMPUTERS

There are no major problems with Mac OS 9 (9.2 is much more stable than earlier ones). Regarding Mac OS X, we suggest that you use 10.4 and higher; linking cursive does not work on versions earlier than 10.1.2. OS X installations require you to enter your User ID and password.

We have tested the current CD on OS 10.6.8, 10.4.11, and 10.7, with Word 2008 and iWork '08 and Word 2011. Before releasing a new CD, we test each font family with the following programs: Word 2004, Word 2008, Word 2011, TextEdit, InDesign CS4, OpenOffice, NeoOffice.

Look in Mac Troubleshooting for information on some word processor glitches.

USING WINDOWS SYSTEMS

The fonts run on every version of Windows (except Windows 3.1) up through Windows 7 and Word 2010. We no longer have an installer that runs on Windows 3.1; however, you can install the fonts on Windows 3.1 by following the instructions in the the file W_RAW_FONTS.TXT in the Windows\RawFonts folder. But the current Linkletter (01/11/11) will not run on Windows 3.1.

If any fonts do not show up in your word processor after you run the installer, restart your computer.
